INTEGRATE WELL VALUES
We live in a society that promotes independence from childhood. Even when I was a mother of a newborn, I was force fed this message from every different direction that I needed to develop independence in my baby when it came to play, sleep, etc, etc. (P.S. I am totally singing Macklemore’s “Can’t Hold Us Down” lyric every time I type I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-C-E). And while I know independence is very important, when I think about my life as I’ve gotten older and wiser, I so much more value the experiences of partnership with other people. When I’ve been vulnerable enough to reach out and ask for help; when I’ve locked arms with someone to create something beautiful together; when I’ve felt like someone else was in it as much as I was, and vice versa.
The African Proverb says “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” Meaning that going far requires the support of others. When in partnership, you have others to lift you up when you fall, to help steer you in the correct direction, to cheer you on when you are in despair, to remind you what you are capable of when you are in doubt.
When you are building a life of your dreams, you need other people to lift you up. You need your community and your partners to share their skills, their support and their enthusiasm with you to build your future. You accomplish goals and dreams by sharing them with people you love and enrolling them in it.
Every single one of my goals I have achieved I have done with the support of other people
That’s why PARTNERSHIP is a core value of mine at Integrate Well. I’m with you every step of your self-development journey and building a life of possibilities. I am here to lift you up when you fall; to see possibility when you can’t; to hold you lovingly accountable to achieving the things you want to achieve; and celebrating with you every step of the way.
